What's in store

I really don't know what to say here since this is my first hands - on on making blogs. I've heard and read a lot about blogging and am quite sure it's easier heard and read than done. But one tip I think I can count on is: keep writing. Well, technically speaking maybe you'd correct me with 'typing.'

Ever since I really want to say what I think, what are the things around me, and what are the things inside me. Ironically, both my parents are college instructors whose forte is the English language. But I find it hard to even compose my thoughts.

This will be my official dry - run topic. First things first. What I'm about to do is organize my thoughts.

*Organizing*

And then, I'll try to pic a certain topic in my head.

*searching, selecting*

Okay, that wasn't so bad. So what I have thought is about the story of the perfect-broken jug. It's really just about the jug and I just added 'perfect-broken' for you'll-know-why-later.

As the story goes

That there was a certain gardener who has two clay jugs (or was it a jar?) with the other one having a small crack in its side. When the gardener fetches water for his garden, the jug (ok, from this point on I'll use 'jar' since 'jug' sounds awkward) leaks along the path by the time the gardener reaches his garden, there's only half the water that he can pour from the broken jar.

This went along for several days with the broken jar feeling not to good about himself since he spills water on his side. One day, the broken jar said to the gardener "You know, I feel bad every time we fetch for water. You know that I'm leaking on my side but then, you still continue to use me. Why?" The gardener just smiled and said: "Wait and I shall tell you tomorrow."

The next day, the gardener and the jar fetched for water. As they were going to the garden, the gardener asked the jar. "Have you seen where the water leaks from you?" The broken jar was silent. And then, the gardener turned him so that he can see where the water falls. To this, the broken jar saw a line of beautiful flowers. The flowers giving off their fragrant smell; the bees and butterflies buzzing and fluttering about. And a couple of hummingbirds too. As the broken jar beheld these, the gardener said, "Don't be discouraged just because you have a crack. I still found a purpose for you, as you can see."

Really. Before I wrote this sentence, I was trying to come up with a moral lesson from the story. But I think you get what the story's trying to say, right? What? No you don't? You're disturbed by my storytelling? Fine. I know, guilty as charged. Just let me off for this will ya? Thanks, I appreciate that. Can you forgive me for the dozen blogs that'll follow after this? Great!

unarranged thoughts in an unarranged mind

It's been a while since the last time I heard about the measurement of chaos. The last time, my chemistry teacher was talking about it and the cool thing in it is that, he was able to integrate a spiritual learning to me - despite the fact that atheism's quite popular in the field of science.

Unarranged thoughts

First, the NSTP class. Then, my boarding house. After that, my school department followed. I think I forgot about regulations talking about minimum office positions.

But there I have it: I'm the president in the NSTP class, in my boarding house, and in the school department. Then all of a sudden, thoughts of activities, job descriptions, seminars, meetings, and the likes flowed into my mind. I'm just a 21 year old kid - no - a 21 year old guy who starts talking about something when something's not right (I think). And all of a sudden, I have minions to lead to I-don't-even-know-where. But one thing's for sure, He's there to help me what He thinks I can do for Him. Ha. beat that you critics.

Conceptualization

I had an experience where I was a part of a team handling events. The Adventist Youth Council. From this group, I learned a lot of things in coming up with a good worship-driven, God-oriented program-not just good but, really, really good-well that's if, you're going to ask us. *smiley*

One of the things I think I'd cherish is the learning principle is that one must be audience-oriented. In coming up with a good program, what, as part of the audience, would you look for? what are your needs? Then here comes a similar concept from principles of marketing. One must be customer-oriented. (Am I painting a clear picture here?). It's just like if you're a customer, what will you first think when you walk in into a store?

Church Services

There maybe some churches now that face mediocrity in their programs. Depending on who the people are, where the people live, the living environment of the people, chances are you'll see quite a reflection when they handle programs.

I still have so much to say but unfortunately, I can't really organize my thoughts and I really need help-badly.

'till next time then, hope you can make your own puzzle pieces from mine. And I do hope we come up with the same picture.
